The rules, in plain language.

A free account, created with an emailed code, is the best way to take part. It makes your votes count as verified-account votes, unlocks rewards and saved history, and lets you get back to your ideas on a new phone. You can also look at the map and post ideas before you sign in.

Post only what you would be comfortable seeing in public. Do not include names, licence plates, phone numbers or photos of people. A person reviews reports and can hide a post.

We use your email address to send you a sign-in code, to tell you when a new device signs in, and to tell you when something you posted changes status. We do not show it to anyone, and we do not sell it or share it with advertisers or partners.

Messages about updates and future announcements are sent only if you turn them on in your account, and each one has an unsubscribe link. Security messages cannot be turned off because they protect your account.

You can export your data or delete your account at any time from the account page. Deleting removes your email, sessions and consent records, and unlinks your public ideas from you.

We may one day show offers from local partners, such as transit-related services, and we will always label them clearly. A partner never receives your email address or your activity. Any partner message reaches you only if you opted in, and it is sent by us, not by the partner.

Partner offers never change how ideas are counted or ranked.

TransitCrafter is a community tool. It is not an official Winnipeg Transit or City of Winnipeg service, and a post here is not a service request. Do not post emergencies.

We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be, and we may remove content or accounts that break these rules or try to manipulate counts.
